Yummy and easy cocktail recipes from top hotels and bars for your New Year house party

1. Dirty Chai Eggnog 

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml Bourbon 
  • 30 ml Baileys 
  • 90 ml Hot milk tea 
  • Whole Spices 
  • Sweet cream foam to top up 

Directions:

Step 1 – In a heavy-bottomed med saucepot, prepare tea with milk. Strain and let it cool. 

Step 2 – In a cocktail shaker, add egg white, Bourbon, Baileys with whole spices. Shake well. 

Step 3 – Pour the tea in the glass followed by ingredients from a cocktail shaker. 

Step 4 – Garnish with nutmeg and cinnamon powder, whole star anise

Step 5 – Garnish cinnamon powder and star anise.

2. Santa’s Apple

Inspired by the Christmas Spirits and holiday flavours, our experts curated the perfect aperitif. A beautiful concoction of warm whisky, sweet vanilla and rich butter is the real taste of winter. 

 Ingredients:

  • 45 ml Butterfat washed Whiskey 
  • 20 ml Gingerbread syrup 
  • 15 ml Spiced Apple liquor 
  • 2 dashes of Bitters 
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract 

Directions:

Step 1 – Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker 

Step 2 – Shake well 

Step 3 – Pour into an old-fashioned glass 

Step 4 – Garnish with Gingerbread cookie

3. Feliz Dia

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml Mulled wine
  • 20 ml Bourbon whiskey
  • 20 ml Rich simple Syrup 
  • 15 ml Citrus
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 dashes of Orange bitters
  • Dehydrated Grapefruit & Burnt cinnamon stick for garnish
  • Glassware – Coupe Cocktail glass

Directions:

Step 1 – Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker

Step 2 – Shake well

Step 3 – Pour into coupe cocktail glass

Step 4 – Garnish with dehydrated grapefruit and burnt cinnamon stick

4. Pomegranate Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 8 fresh mint leaves 
  • 6 lemon chunks 
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds 
  • 30 ml Simple syrup 
  • 45 ml Bacardi 
  • Ice

Directions:

Step 1 – In a sturdy glass add mint leaves, pomegranate seeds, lime juice, rum and simple syrup. 

Step 2 – With a muddler or a wooden spoon, muddle to extract juices from mint leaves and pomegranate seeds. 

Step 3 – Add ice to the glass and top with soda water. 

Step 4 – Garnish with more pomegranate seeds, mint leaves or lime wedges.

5. Foo Filbert

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Jameson 
  • 12.5ml Hazelnut syrup 
  • 22.5ml Homemade kahlua 
  • 3 (br spoon) Heavy fresh cream 
  • Glassware Nick & Nora

Directions:

Step 1 –  Add Jameson, Kahlua,Heavy Cream, Hazelnut syrup to Shake with the ice.

Step 2 – Shake all the ingredients for 3 seconds

Step 3 – Remove the ice and 

Step 4 – Dry shake again to get a smooth and silky texture

Step 5 – Fine strained the cocktail in pre chilled Nick & Nora glass

6. Quinta Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml – Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
  • 50 g – dark chocolate (chopped or broken up)
  • 50 ml – double cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp – Demerara Sugar (to taste)

Directions: Pour all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer on a low heat until chocolate has completely melted. Do not allow it to boil. Pour into a glass mug. Garnish Orange twist on top and a couple of Gingersnaps on the side for dipping.

7. Pumpkin Scotch Latte

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml – Glenmorangie The Original
  • 50 ml – Espresso
  • 50 ml – Monin Spiced Pumpkin Syrup
  • 100 ml – hot milk

Directions: Pour ingredients into a cup and stir. Garnish with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon powder.

8. XMAS Mulled Morangie

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml – Glenmorangie Lasanta
  • 100 ml – red wine*
  • 50 ml – pressed apple juice
  • Mulling spices – cinnamon stick, cloves, anise, vanilla
  • 1 slice (wheel) of orange halved
  • 1 dessert spoon Demerara Sugar (adjust to taste)

Directions: Pour ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer on a low heat. Do not allow it to boil. Pour into a heat proof cup or mug. Serve in a highball glass and garnish with mulling spices and fruit.

9. Hot Penicillin

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml – Glenmorangie The Original
  • 50 ml – apple juice
  • 12.5 ml – fresh lemon juice
  • Squeeze of honey (to taste)
  • 50 ml – quality ginger beer

Directions: Shake all ingredients over cubed ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
