How to get the super glamorous, sensational dolphin makeup look

The luminous, dewy, glass skin makeup look is buzzing all over the beauty world, but with a quirky spin as the ‘Dolphin skin’ trend. It is a term first coined by makeup artist Mary Phillips. She has worked with celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Addison Rae.

As the name suggests, the trend is about creating glistening skin of a dolphin under the tranquil sunny sky with cosmetics. And we’re here to tell you exactly how you can recreate the look.

Skin prep:  It is essential to strike a balance between hydrating and exfoliating your skin before getting started with the dewy makeup look. You must use a hydrating cleanser, followed by a hyaluronic acid serum and rich moisturiser to lock in the moisture in your skin. You may also use essential oils to give your skin that extra boost of hydration. However, avoid using it if your skin is prone to acne as it may clog your pores. As always, after applying moisturiser, SPF is a must, it should be a non-matte formula in order to achieve the best results. Exfoliating your skin at least once a week to reveal the healthy glow of your skin is also a must.

Get wet: Once your skin is all prepped up and ready to go, it’s time to get the Dolphin glam up! Your makeup products should consist of all things cream and liquid-based luminous foundation, highlighter, blush, and so on. You may start by using a dewy primer on your skin before applying any makeup and apply a lightweight foundation. Further, apply concealer only on spots necessary. If you want a little snatched-rosy look, pat some liquid-based bronzer and blush on the highest points of your cheeks.

Remember, it’s all about adding shine to the natural high points of your face so you look gleaming. Cheekbones, nose bridge, tip, brow bones, corner of your eyes, and chin should be your target area while applying your illuminating highlighter. Avoid placing the glow on the forehead and around your nose. Lastly, apply a shiny lip gloss or lip tint and finish the look with a glowing mist setting spray for the pop champagne glow!
