This timeless and elegant Gurugram home is what dreams are made of
Spread across 7,196 square feet, Domus de Deco, in Gurugram is the lavish home of Malika and Mohit Sadani, the creative force behind the popular Indian mother and baby healthcare brand The Moms Co. The luxury home’s interior designers Shrruti Behall and Rajat Behl of NSN Studio Divine have ensured that the space exudes exuberance, creating a home that delights the senses. The design brief was to create a space that feels timeless, elegant, and easy to maintain for the couple and their two young daughters.
While not much could be done with the fixed layout of the space, housed in Gurugram’s luxury building complex The Camellias, the designers have played with a combination of red, white and golden colours, furniture and statement chandeliers and lights to make it stand out. Quite a few of the design elements of the house have been drawn from the Art Deco style. Thus there is glamour, luxury and order in the space, created with a mix of patterns, textures, and shapes that breathe life into every room. “In Art Deco, beauty and functionality go hand in hand.” Every detail, from the curves to the colours, tells a story of thoughtful design and timeless elegance. This home is a true reflection of their vision, a place where beauty and comfort come together to create something truly special,” say Behall and Behl.
The curved walls of the living rooms lend warmth to the space, essential to make the room look inviting. The powder has flowing lines and rich colours, livening up the space.
The communal areas overlooks the Aravalli mountains, also seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor spaces. Every detail, from the carefully chosen furnishings to the curated artwork on the walls, tells a story.
Another highlight of the house is the kitchen, fitted with a cosy breakfast counter and modern appliances. It extends to a dining area, which is done with marble accents and soft lighting, making it a great setting for hosting people. The bar, stocked with a variety of spirits, reflects the Sadani family’s love for hospitality.
The after-dinner scene can then be moved to the fireplace in the living room, complete with a plush sofa.
The private quarters are equally luxurious but more poised for the older Sadanis and vibrant for their daughters.
